Paul

Paul
- 入選:Kensington Pattern Co.、Harbor & Vine Wallcoverings、Redwood Line Design。
- 暫緩:Lumen Studio Group、Bayview Hospitality Design(酒店/商用規格與純紙不合)、Atlas Home Supply(價格與付款和接受線不合)。

Paul

Paul

One product · Four stations
From one product
to the first container
A decision-maker brings one product. Paul does not start with an order. He walks four stations: which path, which people, whether a commitment is possible, and whether the numbers can hold. On the left of each station is a filled wallpaper example. On the right, blank lines for your own product.
Demonstration / outcomes unverified · Companies and this scenario are fictionalThe fictional conditions
The whole storyline uses only the figures below. The companies are invented. Nobody has been contacted. The four public demos remain separate prototypes. This page reads them as one storyline. It does not make them exchange data, and it does not rewrite the cases they already show.
American-style pure-paper wallpaper. Customization is possible. Roll size 0.686 m × 8.23 m (about 5.65 m²). FOB Shanghai USD 10–15 per roll.
Importers and large design firms in the US and Europe. The hope for a first order is one 20-foot container.
MOQ 1,000 linear meters (LM). At a roll length of 8.23 m, that is about 122 rolls. Price per roll, linear meters, and a container are different units. They are not the same fact.
One 20-foot container is roughly 3,000–5,000 rolls, about USD 30,000–75,000 of goods. Estimate, to be confirmed by the factory. This is not revenue, and it is not a completed sale.
01 · Choose the path
Which path comes first
Global Business Development
Wallpaper example (filled)
What this station decides
For the same product, do we study importers first, or large design firms? “The first order should be one container” and “test customization first” do not produce the same priority.
- Importers sit closer to a repeatable buying rhythm, and closer to a first order that could fill one container.
- Large design firms are more often a customization test: small projects, possibly several in a year. Imagined projects are not added up into a container.
Paul’s call
Pure paper will not meet hotel and commercial specifications. Those projects ask for contract vinyl and a fire rating. That whole segment is set aside first.
The angle to test is customization at a smaller batch, not “always cheaper.” In Paul’s view, US and European mills sit roughly at USD 12–25 per roll FOB, with higher MOQs. That is not verified market pricing. USD 10–15 and USD 12–25 overlap, so a lower price is not a claim he will make.

What Paul checks first. Which buyer types the product cannot meet, and whether the aim is one container or a customization test.
This station does not yet have a wallpaper demo. The public Global Business Development demo is a different fictional scenario: switch the decision-maker’s objective and watch the next research priority change. It is not the Gulf-region hotel case. The two sit side by side. This page does not rewrite that demo.

What this station decides
Not working down the list in order. First, what the product can and cannot credibly say. Then a few accounts worth studying, each with a reason, a first-contact angle, and the questions still open.
Paul’s call
This station is already written, on the wallpaper conditions above. Three accounts are picked and three are deferred, for different reasons.
- Picked: Kensington Pattern Co., Harbor & Vine Wallcoverings, Redwood Line Design. All fictional.
- Deferred: Lumen Studio Group and Bayview Hospitality Design (hotel and commercial specs do not match pure paper), and Atlas Home Supply (price and payment sit outside the line he would accept).

The takeover page is a judgment before contact. It is not an outreach letter, and nothing has been sent. It is not an outcome of the list demo.
03 · Can we commit?
A fictional enquiry, and what is still unknown
Commercial Decision Desk
Wallpaper example (filled)
What this station decides
So this station has something to judge, assume a fictional enquiry from Kensington Pattern Co.: pure-paper wallpaper, whether customization is possible, and whether a first order could move toward one 20-foot container. There has been no real contact, and there is no letter.
Still unknown, and not filled in as fact:
- Whether the roll really is 0.686 m × 8.23 m
- How many rolls a container actually holds
- Certification
- Sampling and lead time
- The payment terms the other side wants
Paul’s acceptance line
On this fictional enquiry, the payment line he will put on the table is a 30% deposit, with the balance paid before shipment. What the other side actually wants is still unknown. The line is not an agreed term.
Until roll spec, container loading, certification, sampling, and lead time are checked, “we can customize” and “we can fill a container” are not commitments.

Your payment line
What Paul checks first. Which conditions are still unknown, and whether there is a payment line you are willing to accept.
The public desk demo does not yet use this wallpaper. Open it and the sample is still a separate fictional case: a Gulf-region hotel. That case stays where it is, beside this storyline. This page does not load the wallpaper figures into that demo, and it does not rewrite the Gulf case.
04 · Do the numbers hold?
Price, quantity, and a floor
Trade Profit Navigator
Wallpaper example (filled)
What this station decides
FOB Shanghai USD 10–15 per roll, MOQ 1,000 linear meters (LM, about 122 rolls), and a first order aimed at one 20-foot container. The container is roughly 3,000–5,000 rolls, about USD 30,000–75,000 of goods. Estimate, to be confirmed by the factory.
This station splits margin into two lines. This page does not calculate either one, and it does not treat the quoting floor as the result after a first order.
Paul’s two lines
Quote margin(報價毛利) is about 35%. That is Paul’s floor when quoting. If a price cannot stay on that side of the line, he does not mark it as something to discuss. It is not a computed result, and it is not an outcome that has occurred.
First-order actual margin(第一單實際毛利) is the line for deciding whether to take the order. It comes after first-order extra costs, such as sampling, custom-pattern setup and plate costs, inland freight and customs, and FX movement. Its minimum is to be confirmed by Paul. This page does not calculate it, and it does not fill in a number.
Can discuss(可談)
- A price inside USD 10–15 per roll FOB Shanghai, while quote margin stays at or above about 35%.
- Leading with customization at an MOQ of 1,000 linear meters (LM).
Check first(先查)
- Roll size 0.686 m × 8.23 m, and whether 1,000 linear meters (LM) is really about 122 rolls, against the factory’s actual roll length.
- Container loading and goods value (estimate, to be confirmed by the factory).
- Certification, sampling, lead time, and whether payment is a 30% deposit with the balance before shipment.
- Which sampling, plate, inland-freight, customs, and FX costs belong in the first-order actual margin. Its minimum is to be confirmed by Paul.
Not accepted(不接受)
- Offering pure paper where the specification needs contract vinyl and a fire rating.
- Saying the price is always lower than US and European mills. The ranges overlap.
- Writing a container quantity as a commitment before the factory confirms loading.
- Payment wider than a 30% deposit and the balance before shipment.

What Paul checks first. That the quote-margin floor and the first-order actual-margin floor are written apart, and that each item is marked can discuss, check first, or not accepted.
The public Profit Navigator demo does not yet use this wallpaper. Open it and the figures are still the Gulf hotel case. That case stays where it is. The quote-margin floor of about 35%, and “first-order actual margin: to be confirmed by Paul,” are not loaded into that demo. This page does not calculate a margin.
Four stations leave a judgment, not an order
The path sets hotel and commercial work aside. The people station keeps three accounts and defers three. Before any commitment, roll spec, container loading, certification, sampling, lead time, and payment stay open. Whether the numbers hold uses two lines: a quote-margin floor of about 35%, and a first-order actual margin after sampling, plate costs, inland freight and customs, and FX movement, whose minimum is to be confirmed by Paul. Conditions are marked can discuss, check first, or not accepted.
The four works remain separate prototypes, linked by this storyline. They do not exchange data, and they do not share a data model. Demonstration / outcomes unverified.
Stuck?
Send the filled sheet to Paul, and ask him to look at whether a first container is feasible. Sending it does not mean a buyer will be found, and it does not promise an order.
Demonstration / outcomes unverified. Print the blank sheet in the browser, or save it as PDF, or download the one-page PDF. The page uses system fonts. The PDF embeds only the glyphs on that page, without a large font file.
